Strengthening One Health Collaboration: SLOHUN Holds the 1st Quarterly Meeting for 2026

The Sri Lanka One Health University Network (SLOHUN) successfully held its quarterly virtual meeting on 07th April 2026 with the participation of national and international collaborators representing multiple universities and institutions.

During the meeting, members reviewed the progress of ongoing One Health initiatives, collaborative research activities, grant opportunities, and network expansion efforts. Updates were also presented on the development of the SLOHUN website, future social media platforms, and plans for awareness webinars and institutional engagement activities.

Key discussions focused on strengthening collaborations in areas such as antimicrobial resistance (AMR), zoonotic diseases, surveillance, climate and health, and pandemic preparedness, while exploring sustainable funding opportunities and future research collaborations.

SLOHUN remains committed to advancing interdisciplinary collaboration, research, and capacity building to strengthen the One Health approach in Sri Lanka.
