Antimicrobial Resistance and Stewardship

Antimicrobial resistance occurs when microorganisms become resistant to medicines, making infections harder to treat. Antimicrobial stewardship promotes the responsible use of these drugs to improve patient outcomes and slow the spread of resistance.
