Epidemiology, Treatment Regimens, and Outcomes of Infections due to Carbapenem-Resistant Organisms in Three Hospitals in Southern Sri Lanka: A Mixed-Methods Study.

This study aims to determine the prevalence of Carbapenem-Resistant Organisms (CRO) infections in patients hospitalized at three hospitals in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka and to characterize their epidemiology. This study was funded by the Duke Global Health Institute. The study is being conducted at the following public hospitals: National Hospital Galle, Base Hospital Balapitiya, and District General Hospital, Matara. Data collection commenced in July 2025 and is still in progress.
