Visit of Prof. Christopher Woods to the Duke–Ruhuna Collaborative Research Centre

The Duke Ruhuna Collaborative Research Centre (DRCRC), Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna, had the honor of welcoming Prof. Christopher Woods (Lead of Infectious Diseases, Duke Ruhuna Collaborative Research Centre, Executive Director of the Hubert-Yeargan Center for Global Health, and Chief of the Infectious Diseases Division at the Durham VA Medical Center) on 10th February 2026.

During the visit, Prof. Woods participated in several productive meetings and institutional visits, including the Professorial Unit at the National Hospital Galle and the RDCID Advanced Molecular Laboratory and new office construction site. Discussions focused on the current progress of collaborative efforts, ongoing research activities, capacity-building initiatives, and future directions in infectious disease research.
