Oration of Prof. Tillekeratne at the SLMA Foundation sessions of 2023
Congratulations to Prof. Gayani Tillekeratne on her successful Sir Marcus Fernando Oration at the SLMA Foundation Sessions 2023, held in Jaffna. Prof. Tillekeratne, Associate Professor of Medicine (Infectious Diseases) at Duke University School of Medicine and Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna, delivered an engaging and timely oration titled “Reducing Antibiotic Prescriptions for Viral Acute Respiratory Infections in Sri Lanka,” which is a very timely topic and the audience found it quite interesting. The Sri Lanka Medical Association Foundation Sessions 2023 were held on 24–25 November at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, in collaboration with the Jaffna Medical Association. The inauguration was attended by Prof. Samath D. Dharmaratne (Chief Guest), Dr. Palitha Abeykoon (Guest of Honour), and members of SLMA and JMA.
